Our Story ​

Holistically Wholesome was created by Magda Neser and Hannalie Minnie. The products and services come from a natural inspired aspect. We decided to start with aloe fibre as our first product because of its amazing health benefits. The human body’s “second brain“, more commonly known as our gut , deals with many toxins and waste products. Aloe fibre supports this gastronomical system.

Our company, Holistically Wholesome was created and with this we are bringing you a product, that is authentic and proudly South African. We prioritise the sustainability of our environment and the growth of the communities involved in the process of tapping and harvesting aloe. We realised that creating and promoting this product will benefit an immense amount of people in various ways. We have taken this opportunity, and shared it with our customers.

Product History ​

Treasured since ancient empires for its medicinal capabilities, aloe can be seen venerated on pictograms dating back to 2000 BC. In bygone Egypt, it was known as the ‘plant of immortality’ for the way its sap healed wounds, and brought on a youthful appearance for the skin, noted by Egyptians as one of the reasons for their beauty.

Native Americans refer to it as the ‘wand of heaven’, this intuitive understanding has been confirmed by science as the Aloe contains over 200 biologically active, naturally occurring constituents which include polysaccharides, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, and minerals that promote nutrient absorption. The great aloe is truly an ally for our species – especially its fibre.
